Great news for Filipinos and Koreans living in the Visayas area. The Consulate of the Republic of Korea will open on March 18, 2015. Their office is at the 11th floor of Apple One Equicom Tower at the Cebu Business Park in the province of Cebu.

The Korean Consulate in Cebu will process visa issuance for Filipinos and consular services for Koreans. Filipinos in the Visayas need not fly to Manila for their visa needs. They could apply for their visa in Cebu. The consulate is headed by Consul General Lee Ki Seog.

Sa Marso 18, 2015, magbubukas na ang “Consulate of the Republic of Korea”.

Thanks to Danessa for the hat tip.

Please correct your post, the Chinabank Corporate Center is different from AppleOne Equicom Tower. Both are on the same business district but these two are different buildings.

hello ma’am! do you know if it’s true that tourist visa application in South Korea now is free? My brother saw this post in Cebu Pacific’s twitter acct. I just want to know if it’s true and if it is, would you know what are the requirements for the application? Thank you so much!

Tourist visa to Korea has always been free if you apply for 59 days or less. You only need to pay if you plan to stay for 60 days or more. You can check this link for the Korean Visa requirements. Thanks and good luck!
