April 1st is when the “toughen” requirements for South Korea marriage visas will take effect. The new visa rules were announced in October with a six-month grace period.
Korea Herald posted a story:
I have also posted the new rules on the F-6 visa including the income requirements.
Of course, there are exemptions to the new visa rules.
The policy also include new rules that will affect remarriage of Korean nationals and naturalized marriage immigrants.
Hopefully, the new rules will help new marriage immigrants adjust better to their life in Korea. It is also hoped that they will deter human traffickers.
