Playing “The Game of Life”

When was the last time you played a board game?

I’m still on my vacation. I spent Christmas in Los Angeles, but now I’m in Cleveland at my sister’s house. It’s also winter here but the weather isn’t as severe as in Seoul. Only nine more days to go before we’re back in Seoul. How I wish I could extend my vacation, but I have to be home before the lunar new year.

As much as I’d love to update this blog more often, the MacBook and I aren’t exactly friends. Thankfully, my son slept early tonight and so I got to use the Thrive. I am sooooo in love with this tablet. I enjoy using it on the few occasions that my son doesn’t have his hands on it!

So far, I am enjoying my vacation. I have been busy watching Korean movies on Netflix. I also played the board game “The Game of Life” for the first time. It has been a long time since I last played with a real board game, not counting the times I had to referee the kids at our hagwon on their Scrabble game. When I was seven, my siblings would play Monopoly every night and I would always be just a “saling-pusa”. The other night when we played “Life”, my tweenish nieces had to teach me how to play the game.

By the way, I haven’t really been reading my emails. That will be the first thing on my list when we go back to California on Sunday.
