The Multicultural Children’s Library at Wolgye-dong is offering free piano classes for kids of multicultural families every Saturday afternoon at 1PM. I would’ve sent my son here yesterday if only I could join as well.
I don’t know how to play any musical instrument. Almost every Korean I know could play a song or two, including my husband who never had any formal training with the piano.
If you have a child, why not consider spending just an hour every Saturday to help your child become musically literate. Oh, the music could also be good for pregnant mothers still taking their prenatal vitamins. It could relax and make you feel better. I listened to Dave Matthews Band and Ayumi Hamasaki when I was pregnant and I got a fast one hour labor

I would surely encourage you and anyone else to learn how to play an instrument. Learning to play the piano for example is not that hard, you just need to start getting exposed to it and you will eventually learn a few things or two.
For example, you know how speak english or watever language because you were exposed to it either young or when grown.
In the same way when learning music or piano, you just need to start getting exposed to it to learn to play an instrument.
You can even forget about different learning methodologies or techniques, and just start trying it out.
Just take a first step and continue to do so and the rest will fall in place.

Now I’m encouraged. I have a digital piano at home (that I got for free from our milk delivery) and I’d like to try learning how to use it properly!
