A blog visitor asked yesterday if it was true that Philippine actress Cristine Reyes had won the “Best Actress” award at the “2009 Seoul International Drama Awards”. I replied that I didn’t find her name in the list I saw. However, when I visited the SDA Exhibit at Gwanghwamun Plaza with my family this afternoon, I learned that she indeed had won the “Best Actress” award in a Drama Series for “Eva Fonda”. The ABS-CBN produced teleserye also won a “Special Citation”.

Cristine Reyes also attended the awards night that was held on September 11 at the Olympic Park in eastern Seoul. She was also escorted by popular musical actor and talent Um Ki Joon. Here are some pictures on the web.

Cristine Reyes enjoyed her trip to Seoul as evidenced from the photos she posted on her Facebook account. She raved about the street food!
UPDATE: Based on what she wrote on her Facebook photos, she didn’t win Best Actress. And like what I wrote in another post, I didn’t see her name in the list of winners.

I actually read about her nomination almost two weeks ago. although i haven’t seen the drama i just had this feeling that cristine could successfully bring home the bacon. ironically, i saw her acting in passing only but i could tell that she’s a good actress. congratulations to her. the pinoys have been doing so well this year. i hope there will be more before the year ends
i was able to watched the live broadcast of seoul international awards while waiting for the music bank — (since 2NE1 will be performing pretty boy) ; naka shock yung gown nya..

you’re right. well, most of the pinoy actors are better looking than korean actors. mas cute lang silang tignan because naging trademark na nila ang magpacute by distorting their face and pouting their lips. their flawless skin make them look pretty too but if you look closely pinoy actors have more beautiful facial features.

Truelalu, Pinoy artist are better looking than Koreans (if you look closely , ika nga ni Dolphin)pero totoo nman tlga. I hope there will be more PInoy artist who will blossom in international showbiz industry.
