Piano Waterfall

by Betchay on August 24, 2009

Two Sundays ago, the summer heat was almost unbearable that we decided to drive somewhere. We really didn’t have any place in mind but we thought that we’ll just somewhere near Gapyeong, where there are lots of rivers and valleys. We ended up at a place in Namyangju, about 35 or so kilometers from Seoul, called “Piano Waterfall”. This man-made waterfall is only about two kilometers from KOFIC, the Namyangju studios where famous movies like JSA, Chihwaseon, were filmed.

Here’s how the Piano Waterfall looks like:

This trellis reminds me of home. We used to have one at our residence in Angeles City before Mt. Pinatubo erupted.

The “piano stairs” – remember that “Chopstick” scene in the movie “Big” starring Tom Hanks?

His/hers toilets and a nursing room are located on the second floor of this “grad piano” building.

Hi Ms. Betchay. This place is lovely. I’d like to visit this place one of these days. I’m planning to go to Seoul this weekend for the absentee voting registration. I’d like to know how long it would take to go there from Seoul? I’d be coming from Osan. I guess it would be a long drive. hehe

Hi Ms. Betchay. How can I go to this place coming from Seoul?
And what is the exact name of this place (in Korean)? So i can inquire to other Koreans about this place. Thanks.
