RNs are constantly in demand so i would consider it the safest bet. it's a recession proof job. i work as a public school teacher in new york city and my job has been hit by the budget cutbacks. anyway, i digress. software development, on the other hand, can easily be outsourced from india where, as far as i know, there is an abundance of computer geeks. i'm in between jobs right now and could not help but wish that i took nursing (although i'm most fulfilled in teaching, in desperate times, one has to have priorities). it's the cheapest, most practical and feasible way to set foot in the US. one last thing, nursing is a profession that does not discriminate with age probably because there's such a high demand. our school nurse, for instance, is a filipina in her seventies who acquired her nursing diploma two years ago. good luck! hello,

True, so many opportunities here. You don't have to look for a job coz they would look after you. Most of your mails would be job offering here and there. I've heard from my kuya's that jobs related to computers/software dev't are in demand too.
