Because I don’t want to think of another term, I’ll just use the word “scandal.” And it really is scandalous if it’s true that he asked a cashier of the Duty Free Philippines to kneel before him.
The story that has been circulating on the net (or as I’d read on Pinoyexchange) is that the newly-hired cashier asked Boyet Fajardo (a clothes designer) for an ID when he was paying with his credit card. The designer felt insulted and made a scene cussing at the employee. AFAIK, it’s SOP in the Philippines to show an ID when paying a credit card. (I prefer that in contrast to the normal practice in Korea where the cashiers wouldn’t even look at the credit card for the name.) The poor guy is just doing his job and like the others had said, you are not a god that people should kneel before you.
