It’s that time of the year

My desktop computer is two years old and lately it’s running a bit sluggish. What I usually do is I reformat the hard drive and reinstall the programs every six months. Next month, December, that’s exactly what I’m going to do. The problem is I don’t have enough space in my external hard disk to save all my important files. That is why I’m looking for a free backup.

Instead of buying a new hard disk, I’m looking into using a CDB Backup. It’s an acronym for “continuous data protection.” In this way, I can save all my important files in a remote server continuously and not only when I schedule a backup. When I have a really important file, what I do is save it on my hard disk, external HDD, USB memory and CD. I guess I’m a bit OC when it comes to protecting my data. You could say that I had a pretty bad experience in the past.

Tilana Reserve is a Free Backup Software that can be downloaded on your computer. You just need to sign-up to get an authorization code. IMO, it’s worth a try.

  2. Hello Betchay,

Here’s a tech tip for you to consider. Instead of rebuilding your computer’s system disk every 6 months, all that’s needed to improve your hard drive’s performance is a little periodic maintenance.

Running “disk defragmentation,” clearing out both “Temporary Files” folder and “Cache” files will drastically improve your computers performance.

Hope this helps. Let me know what happens. Yes, I’m a first-time visitor.
