I read an article yesterday at The Marmot’s Hole about some Korean Americans who don’t have health insurance. Instead of getting proper treatment at American hospitals, they travel to Korea and other countries in southeast Asia to get treated for their sickness. I was thinking that it must be very uncomfortable and inconvenient having to travel a long distance when you’re sick.
Some of these immigrants are business owners who wouldn’t want to pay exorbitantly high rates for their insurance. We all know that a lot of them live in California. They probably have better chances getting a California group health insurance plan. They just need to find the best prices online.

Yes, I agree with you. I also know a few business owners who travel to Asian countries to have themselves treated. While some Asians would want to go to America to have their sickness cured, I can’t understand why some Americans would go to Asian countries to be cured. Maybe they indeed wouldn’t want to pay exorbitantly high rates for their insurance.
