I wonder why they have to replay the freak accident that a Hungarian weight lifter suffered yesterday at the Beijing Olympics. Last time I saw something like that on TV was decades ago in a wrestling “show” called GLoW (Glorious Ladies of Wrestling).
Anyway, people are talking about what Son Tae Young will be wearing in her upcoming wedding. It’s going to be next month and it’s been rumored that she will wear the same dress Kim Hee Sun wore. Or is it just the same brand – Reem Acra? Will it matter if she’s going to wear exactly the same dress?
When I got married, I didn’t have my own wedding gown and that’s quite common in Korea. So if you want to have your own wedding gown for your Korean wedding, better buy it in your home country. Women here don’t buy Western-style, i.e white, wedding gowns but they do buy their own hanbok for the Korean-style weddings. The “logic” is that they’re only going to wear the white wedding gowns once but the hanbok is worn at least twice a year, chuseok and seol-nal (seollal). (Anyway, whatever the dress is it’d be nice to be in tiptop shape by doing ellipticals.)
Kwon Sang Woo and Son Tae Young will apparently spend for their own wedding. It has been said that they will not accept any sponsorship.

hello betchay! nabasa ko nga ito, siguro ok lang naman kung same dress, balita ko kasi “luxury” dress daw ito.
Ok lang siguro pong ulitin yung dress kaso parang mas maganda pa rin kung may sarili kang style ng wedding dress mo. Di naman important kung mahal o hindi eh. Mas maganda yung para sa iyo talaga.

Korean Wedding is lovely, and suits a KOREAN WOMAN well, they look like goddesses walking down the aisle. The women with yellow skin tone (i.e Chinese, Japanese, the likes) will also look like the most beautiful woman on Earth. Kahit pa sobrang chaka, they look like celebrities.
BUT, if they do the same thing with a woman with a different color (like what i had those days from too much sunburn), a tan, brownish or darker, it’s an absolute DISASTER. The make-up artists here are idiots. They don’t know what suits what. They just do what they HAVE TO DO regardless of color and facial features. I speak from experience, and observation from different weddings.
To the next Filipino woman who will get married in Korea: BE WARNED. Bring your own stylist if you want to be seen as the most beautiful woman on earth, and to remember your wedding day as the happiest day of your life.
