Erik Mun for It’s Skin

I’ve tried “The Face Shop” and “Skin Food” products. Aside from them, I used “Hera” (endorsed by Kim Tae Hee and Jang Dong Gun), “Laneige” (used to be endorsed by Jeon Ji Hyun and now Song Hye Gyo) and IOPE (Lee Na Young of “Teach Me English”).

Last Saturday afternoon, my friends and I dropped by a new store in Myeongdong called “It’s Skin.” Their endorser is Erik Mun. What is it about some of these cosmetic shops that they use men as endorsers? “The Face Shop” has Kwon Sang Woo. Jang Dong Gun was once the face for “Missha”.

Erik Mun, a member of the boy group Shinhwa, has a drama currently running. It’s a historical drama titled “Chil-woo”. I saw the first two episodes last week but I forgot to watch this week. 😀

We didn’t plan to shop at “It’s Skin.” We just happen to pass-by and we were attracted by the ongoing sale – 30% less on all purchases – on the store’s digital signage! We were given a trial pack of their cleansing cotton as we entered the store. The salesladies are expectedly nice, accomodating and helpful. The packaging of their products reminded me of Neutrogena and Strivectin. No pictures and lots of words.

I just bought two items that I need – eyebrow liner and dual eyeshadow. A girl can’t have too many eyeshadows in her collection, right? They should have totaled more than 9,000 won (USD 9) but because of the sale, I only paid 6,000 (USD 6) won something 🙂 I got sample packs of their “Wrinkleless Eye Cream” and Jasmine Body Wash and Body Lotion. I tried the cleansing cloth that night and I truly truly liked it. I will go back for a bigger pack.

I miss the freebies that come with these skin products! When I was there, I used to shop in Skin Food. I use the Cognac face moisturizer for men.

The Face Shop will be opening their branch in Festival Mall in Alabang. The site is now under renovation. I bet Koreans and Filipinos alike will flock there once it’s open.

@Elliot >> i’ll check that cognac face moisturizer for men later, maybe that would make a nice gift for my pamangkins 😉

@desperateblogger >> it could have been because of PPP?

Nice steal… You know, more and more men use more products in the bathroom, so I could see why a guy would be on a cosmetics product (Missha had BoA before, right?).

No reason why men shouldn’t use skin care products. Everyone can benefit from using a moisturiser with an SPF to reduce the risk of skin cancer.

Men have come a long way, understanding that women are not the only ones that like good looking skin.
