2008 Gwangju Asian Human Rights Folk School

Just visited Mr. Ahon’s blog and saw this on his “asides” (sorry, there’s just so many similar programs that I get confused with the names).

The GAHRFS aims to contribute to the development of democracy and human rights throughout Asia. Twenty five (25) participants will be selected from among applicants from all over Asia who have been working for human rights, peace and democracy. They will be given an opportunity to learn and experience the history and development process of human rights and democracy in South Korea. The folk school will also serve as an opportunity for participants to exchange and network with other human rights activists.
